The Finance Program will ensure public resources and assets fund long term financially sustainable outcomes while maximising opportunities through responsible and quality procurement activity.

About the Opportunity
We are currently seeking an experienced financial accounting leader to join our Finance program. This is a dynamic role where you can make a genuine difference within Adelaide, one of the world’s most liveable cities.

The Manager Financial Accounting is responsible for leading a collaborative team working across all levels of the organisation, providing support and the delivery of professional and efficient services on all aspects of Financial Accounting. This includes partnering with senior leaders at a strategic level to identify Financial Accounting priorities and deliverables.

About You
To be successful in this role you will:

  • Have significant senior accounting experience incorporating analysis and problem-solving principles within a medium to large organisation.
  • Have significant working knowledge of accounting and business disciplines including, but not limited to, management and cost accounting, statutory reporting, complex budget development and financial management system improvements.
  • Be able to demonstrate prior experience in their ability to identify trends in data and highlight areas requiring focus.
  • Have demonstrated financial accounting skills including work with external funding providers, understanding standard financial realities and reporting and budgeting, profit & loss, cost benefit analysis and forecasting / projections for the whole organisation.
